of Women in Architecture Memphis (WIA). This Chapter is a sub-group of AIA Memphis but it’s structure is still evolving. There are similar AIA, WIA Chapters that have come before us, but you as a Founding Member will aid in the directions we take and the accomplishments we make.
Who we are...
WIA Memphis is a community of Women in the field of Architecture dedicated to providing a network and support system to each other, and to give a “voice” to issues relevant to female architectural professionals in the Mid-South.
What we do...
WIA will host a series of events and socials targeted to women in all stages of their design careers. The primary function of these gatherings is to:

•Encourage dialogue about issues relevant to women in design, construction and professional practice

•Educate ourselves and the Mid-south community about our role in the built environment

•Expand our network base and fellowship with others in the design community

•Provide mentorship to the next generation of female architects and encourage professional development
