A three-generation family residence consisting of indoor and outdoor living and dining areas, indoor and outdoor kitchens, 2 primary suites, bunk room, hobby shop, three-car garage, pool house, and service areas.

This project responds to the owner’s vision for a house of modern principles with single story linear massing organized around a courtyard.

The park-like setting is in a conventional neighborhood surrounded by traditional single family houses at the end of a suburban cul-de-sac.

The project takes a low, horizontal profile with separate pavilions arranged around a courtyard with a swimming pool.

The entry opens into the family room with views through the space and out to the pool and courtyard. The main pavilion is defined by the clerestory windows and contains the family room, dining area, and kitchen to entertain friends and family. The kitchen is located to be visually connected with all areas of the plan. Both primary bedroom suites and guest bedrooms extend beyond the main pavilion to enclose the courtyard. All interior spaces communicate visually with the courtyard.

Interior finishes include hardwood floors, wood ceilings, oak paneling, and floor-to-ceiling glass walls.

Other spaces include a hobby shop, three car garage, pool house with guest suite, and outdoor kitchen.
