A corporate headquarters was ushered from windowless warehouse into an inspiring, light-filled environment informed by art and its connection to community.

Our client's expertise in the gas industry was translated by infusing chemistry throughout the design. Molecular formations of various gasses are represented in the lighting, the open workspaces, commissioned artwork, and shared social spaces that all emanate from the circular atrium's feature glass staircase. The cylinder, the heart of the company and the design concept, is prominent throughout the visual experience of guests and employees inside the new headquarters.

A beautiful and intentional art collection is the focus of the space. Throughout the design process, local artists were commissioned to work alongside the design team's vision. The artwork, representative of the company's rich history, is paired with elements of chemistry and eclectic charm.

A restrained material palate of steel, glass, and concrete are also reflective of the client's industry. Exposed mechanical systems and undersides of slabs are unified by crisp white paint lending a textural quality to the ceiling plane. Replicated exterior warehouse windows and a new storefront provide a clean, daylight-filled space and add to the overall sense of transparency.
