Transforming the resort experience at Sycuan Casino sets a new bar for gaming elegance in Southern California. Set dramatically within the rugged landscape of East San Diego County, the resort expansion offers new casino, dining and lounge experiences designed to seamlessly weave contemporary upscale elements together with unique relatable branding.

Set dramatically within the rugged topography that defines the landscape of East San Diego County, the 500,000 SF expansion to Sycuan Resort offers distinct new amenities and guest experiences designed to seamlessly weave contemporary elements together with meaningful cultural touchpoints.

The resort arrival experience winds along a landscaped boulevard toward framed views of the new 12-story, 300-room hotel tower and pool-side balcony dining experiences. A classic butterfly roof caps the stone and wood clad hotel tower, which is set next to a new curved porte cochere. The architectural forms are derived from the outstretched wingspan and tail feathers of the redtail hawk, a significant symbol of Sycuan culture.

Set against the timeless and elegant neutral interior palette of the grand lobby, a dramatic two-story video wall behind hotel registration becomes the key focal point with changing visual content, including vivid imagery of regional landscapes.

A repositioning and rebranding of the sports bar created the Rank & File brew house. The craft beer venue incorporates industrial finishes and angular lines creating a contemporary, comfortable gathering spot to watch sports and live events. The posh, edgy craft cocktail lounge, Elicit, overlooks the resort’s new 4-acre palm-tree and cabana-lined pool environment. Warm far eastern design influences complement the fresh hand-rolled sushi and small plate cuisine offerings, with low-lit ambience balanced by picturesque poolside views and chic indoor/outdoor dining capitalizing on Southern California’s idyllic climate.
