Linkous Construction, a Merit Shop Contractor, was founded in 1983 by R. E. Linkous and his wife, Clare, after consolidating the Memphis Branch office of a national general contracting firm which Linkous opened and managed since 1975.  Today R.E.’s sons Rusty and Jamie along with his son-in-law Perry Miller employ approximately 90 skilled professionals and are currently licensed in 13 states across the southeast. Over the past four decades the company has built approximately 60 million square feet of commercial and industrial projects. Linkous Construction continues to be recognized annually as one of the largest firms in the Mid-South.
